Deleting your data

Last updated: October 10, 2026

You can delete your Arabio account, and everything in it, at any time. This page explains how, what is deleted and when.

Delete your account in the app: open Arabio and go to Settings → Delete account (on the web: app.arabio.io/settings/delete). Confirm with your password — if you sign in with Google or Facebook, you may be asked to sign in again — then tap “Delete my account”.

What is deleted: your account and everything in it — your profile, posts, comments, reactions, photos, videos, reels, stories, albums, the messages you sent, groups only you were in, your events, tickets and listings, your friends and follows, and your sign-in methods (including the link to Facebook or Google), devices and sessions. Groups and group chats you shared with others stay for them, without you.

When: right away. Your account is removed the moment you confirm and can’t be brought back, and your photos and videos are removed from our storage at the same time. Database backups kept for recovering from failures may hold deleted data for up to 30 days before it is overwritten.

One exception the law requires: if a photo you uploaded was held for review as possible child sexual abuse material, a secured copy kept for the authorities is not deleted with the account.

Remove Arabio from Facebook: on Facebook, go to Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites, choose Arabio and tap Remove. Facebook then tells us. If Facebook is your only way to sign in to Arabio, we delete your Arabio account and everything in it, exactly as Delete account does. If you also sign in another way (a password, Google or a passkey), we delete the link between your Facebook account and Arabio (the Facebook ID we stored) and log your account out on every device. Facebook gives you a confirmation code and a link to this page, where you can check what was done.

If your account stays (you also sign in another way): Facebook gave us only your Facebook ID, name and email — never a photo. Your name and email became your account’s own, and we keep no separate copy of what Facebook sent, so we can’t tell whether they still match Facebook’s. As they are how you sign in and how members know you, they stay. Change your name in Edit profile, or delete the account as above to remove everything.

Can’t sign in? Use “Need help?” on the log-in screen, or email support@arabio.io from the email address on your account, and we’ll help you delete it.

Questions: email support@arabio.io. We reply by email.
